I used to think genuine leather always meant some kind of compromise leather grade, construction, or hardware. Recently picked up a biker jacket from William Jacket out of curiosity get

and it genuinely surprised me. Real leather weight and grain, clean stitching throughout, hardware holding up fine after a full season. I think direct-to-consumer brands with in-house manufacturing are getting genuinely good at this cutting out wholesale/retail margins seems to actually go into better materials rather than just lower prices on the same old quality. Anyone else had a similar experience in the curious if this is a real shift or if I just got a good one.
